Constructed with advanced thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), it stands out as one of the most robust, lightweight, and slim cables in its category. The ergonomic Type 1 connector, made from C/PA66+GF30%, ensures a secure and comfortable grip. The Type 2 connector features an additional PC & TPE outer casing and a unique downward-facing dust cover to prevent water ingress, protecting against corrosion and extending the product's lifespan.

The Type 2 connector includes an additional outer casing made of PC & TPE, providing extra protection against environmental factors and enhancing the connector's durability and lifespan. The TPE material is selected for its excellent grip properties, offering a comfortable and secure hold during use, even in challenging weather conditions.

The innovative design also includes a downward-facing dust cover made of TPE, a material tougher than previous silicon covers, which effectively prevents water ingress and protects the charging pins from corrosion. The downward-facing design helps guide moisture away from critical components, providing enhanced protection and longevity.

Furthermore, this 3rd generation handset has been designed from the ground up with no external fixings, thereby eliminating potential entry points for water ingress. This design feature enhances the overall IP rating, offering superior protection against environmental factors. These innovative features will be available from Autumn 2024.

The Type 1 connector features a robust C/PA66+GF30% casing, ensuring durability and resistance to wear. However, unlike the Type 2 connector, the Type 1 connector includes a silicone dust cover. As Type 1 connectivity is largely being replaced by Type 2 handsets, there have been no new innovations introduced for this handset type. The Type 1 handset continues to offer reliable performance but lacks the latest advancements available in the Type 2 model.
